It seems the simplest of tasks are
often the hardest to accomplish. Often, I feel barrier have been built that
get in our way of doing what we feel is right.
…
When
I first decided to volunteer at a hospital and vocalized this choice, I was
slowed down with one hurdle after another. There was paperwork, medical
clearances, interviews, orientations, and security clearances, in addition to
trying to make a living along side of this and other personal demands. At times, discouragement can come into sight
regardless of whether we are just trying to help a neighbor or make a
difference in our world. It is clear the
world is in need of help. Clearly, proper nourishment and education is needed
so all can be strong enough to support themselves in their efforts to help
others. In front of these tasks is row of barriers (or hurdles) to help.
…
Regardless
of our rationalizations, the universe is naturally set up into a “give and receive”
kind of perspective. Most, though,
continue to think of it as “give and take.”
With a “give and take” mentality, I feel you are making attempts to
change the forces of nature. When we
live with this “give and receive” perspective, we put less pressure on
ourselves, others, and the universe. To make the adjustment from the “give and
take” mindset to one of “give and receive” requires a sense of timing – when to
give and when to have patience to receive our blessings.
Reading and feeling the energy of an
environment is so important to have a sense of timing. Often, reading energy is like reading a book.
When reading different books, it can take more or less time to comprehend the
information, depending on the material. Although reading energy will change
from moment to moment, each situation is uniquely different, and our levels of
attachment will often diminish the more and more we realize this
principle.
